Data entry rapid style

I've been struggling for a while with what my first tip/trick/hint should be, when all of a sudden the other day I learned something new, so I thought I'd share it with you.

If you are working with a Notes database and you have to enter several documents, typically you'd create the first document, compose content by filling in various fields, save and close the document, and then repeat.  Well instead of save and closing the first document, instead press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.   This will save and close the current document and compose a new document in one step!

Here is an example using the Personal Journal DB.   I start by clicking "New Journal Entry"

I then fill in the document's title and some content

But then instead of clicking "Save & Close", I press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.    The first document is saved and closed, and a new blank document is created.

Try this out on any database you use, I know it is my new favourite time saver!
