Attachment Editing in Notes 7
Lotus Notes 6 introduced the ability to right click on an attachment and
choose Edit. This would launch the native application for the attachment
type, allowing you to than make updates and save the document back into
Notes. The greatly streamlined the process of: save attachment to
your computer, open the native program, open the attachment, makes your
changes, save attachment back to your computer, reattach the newly updated
file in Notes. However, it was still unclear to some users what
they had to do in order to make sure their changes did not get lost.
Lotus Notes 7 greatly improves the instructions provide to the user as
shown below.
