I wonder if this was internally codenamed Lepo?

Mary Beth has blogged about new toolbar icons which will be available in Notes 8.5.1. One of which is a colour picker for fonts. I was "just a little vocal about this" over the years internally at IBM, as the last 5 or so product managers may recall. She does not mention it, but if I interpret the screen shot correctly, there is also a new icon for highlighter, which was something I think I actually got down on my knees and begged for a few times. ;-) I can't wait for the upgrade. (or if an internal IBM friend wants to leak me the code... ;-) )

Nope. it's codenamed 'Briley'. I requested this feature right here on your blog almost two years ago today:
{ Link } comment #8, your reply is comment #9.
I'm really thankful for this, but was it really so hard to do?
We DO actually listen, it's just not always possible to get it in the product queue with 6000 other features being requested. I picked up the torch for you esp. on the highlighter, and I'm sure mbr did her share of cajoling/bribing.
Chris
(I think the code name was actually flepo. :) )
LOL Chris! You made my day. Thanks for carrying the torch. I'll keep flying the banner.
Timothy, keep the requests coming. Like Chris said, they are listening.
Due to some rare ancient PC's still in use, my agency is still using R7.03 (server and client), but we expect to take care of that problem this fall and move to R8.5x (server and client). Given that, I don't have an R8 client in front of me most of the time so off the top of my head, the two Smart Icons I'd like to see next are "Merge Table Cell" and "Split Table Cell".
When I was at Lotus WPD in the early 90's, I pushed for a SmartIcon for each and every menu item. We never quite got there, but I think we got close. Being a heavy SmartIcon user, I think the same is a great goal for Notes. Because I don't know the coding behind it, it seems easy enough, but that's always the way isn't it, when you're on the outside looking in. ;)
I would like to take a moment to express my sincere thanks and gratitude for your company and its people. You should be very proud of the company you run.
