Showing Hidden Characters

When you are editing a document in Lotus Notes, often there are several text items that are normally "hidden" that you may want to see to help you format the document. These items include spaces, tabs, and carriage returns (line breaks).
For example, take a look at the following sentence:
How many spaces or tabs are between these words?
From the Notes menus choose View - Show - Hidden Characters.

Now Notes displays the text as shown below (without the coloured arrows!). The red arrows show you that a "
"
is used to indicate a space, a "
"
is used to indicate a tab, and a "
"
is used to indicate a line break.

In normal sentences this may not seem so important, but this feature really helps me when creating more complex documents which contain tables and graphics.
