On Friday Oct 5th I was a guest of Oracle Racing Team USA to watch the quarter-finals of the America's Cup World Series race in San Francisco. Our view was spectacular as we were onboard the 139ft yacht America, positioned just meters away from the race. A special treat was seeing the Blue Angles practicing for the airshow that is part of Fleet Week's weekend activities. It was incredible to be so close to these amazing planes especially with the icon background of the Golden Gate Bridge. I've seen airshows with death defying formation flying before, but some of the things these pilots were doing were unbelievable. My favourite was when one plane shot into the sky then fell back to earth in a flat spin with no engines, pulling up at the last minute above the San Francisco Bay.
