Wow, Delicious Library Is Awesome

This is without a doubt one of the most fun, and useful software products I've seen in a while.   Delicious Library uses your Mac's built in camera to read the bar code of books, CDs, DVDs, toys, electronics, and a lot more, and then creates a visual catalog of the stuff you own.  You can also drag and drop an item onto a friends name, to track when you lend items out.

I've only been using this for 5 minutes, so I barely know about any features, but I had to blog about it.   It is part of the awesome MacHeist bundle I recently bought, which I highly recommend.

Below you see me holding up a book in front of my Macbook's camera, and the product's built in bar code scanner software adds it to my list of books, it ever says the name and author out loud.

You can get a synopsis, product details, reviews, and can even buy/sell via sites like Amazon.

I've had this for about a year. Love it. You can also store the lists on your iPod so you can reference it while at the store. Using the iSight is awesome. I've found you sometimes have to tilt the book front to back to get a reading (left hand forward right hand back and vice versa).

    Have Fun!

Also, the web export template is very nice.

(Still lacks some features, but they are working on lots of improvements, and for the moment on a native iPhone app)

Wow indeed. Just got it on your recommendation. Thanks for blogging about it.

Does anyone know how to get it working with DropBox?
